Počátky klášterního dějepisectví v přemyslovských zemích. Díla. Čas. Svátky a veřejné události, S. 7-43

The beginnings of monastic historiography in the Přemyslid lands. Works. Time. Feast days and public events_: The primary theme of this study is the linkage between diverse public events and ecclesiastical feast days. This problem is approached not, however, with an emphasis on the feast days themselves, nor even on the particular types of public events, as in prior literature, but rather by considering how this problem was dealt with by the actual authors who wrote their works in Benedictine monasteries. This point of view enables a focus on the analysis of the first monastic chronicles in the Přemyslid lands, their relationship to earlier historical tradition, and the world of ideas that they contain. Armed with this knowledge, attention can then be turned to the concepts of time and means of dating in both the so-called Chronicle of the Monk of Sázava and the Annals of Hradisko and Opatovice. Finally, public events are considered, and their possible linage to feast days. A review of the individual sources also permits the question to be asked as to what extent such practice was important for the authors themselves and for their intended audience.]

Josef ŽEMLIČKA
Emfyteuze, nájmy a propůjčování jako hrozba církevním majetkům, S. 45-58

Emphyteusis, rents and conferment as a threat to Church property:
The forms of ownership and usage of land property were marked as early as during the 13th century by considerable variation. Among them was emphyteusis (initially as a German law), along with various forms of rental and conferment. Ecclesiastical corporations entered into these transactions too, although from the turn of the 14th century some Bishops of Prague warned against such forms. In uncertain times, there was the risk that the Church might lose properties so granted, as indeed could happen. The bishops therefore conditioned such transfers on their own agreement.]

Adam PÁLKA
Přijímání maličkých jako třecí plocha mezi utrakvisty a katolíky po roce 1436, S. 59-108

The communion of infants as a source of friction between Utraquists and Catholics after 1436_: This study concerns three select aspects of the Holy Communion of infants in the Czech Lands after 1436. It first shows, on the basis of events in Prague in 1436–1437, that even in the immediate aftermath of the adoption of the Compacts, numerous disputes arouse between the legates of the Council of Basel and Utraquists regarding the communion of infants. Despite the displeasure of the legates and monitors of the Council directed to the Emperor, however, the communio parvulorum was not clearly placed outside the law in the period considered. A second problem analysed here is the complaints of the Catholic side about violations of the Compacts (1430s-60s); from these it is evident that the most commonly mentioned transgression on the Calixtine side was indeed infant communion. The third aspect considered comprises works by the Utraquists Martin Lupáč and Pavel Žatecký, which present the position that the Compacts and the communion of infants are entirely in accord. These authors interpret the words in annis discrecionis, or qui talem usum habent, in a markedly different way than Catholic scholars.]
